Braskem America PIB 240 is a non-toxic polymer obtained through the polymerization of an isobutene-rich stream with specific catalysts. It mainly consists of aliphatic mono-olefins, offering a clear and bright product free from sediments or suspended matter. PIB 240 holds NSF certification, making it suitable for use in lubricants and synthetic oils, including those for food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade applications. Additionally, it finds application in adhesive formulations and serves as a Viscosity Index agent in lubricants.

Recommended Storage & Handling Conditions

Polybutene polymer must be stored at temperatures under 50°C, and protected from direct sunlight, moisture and in order to avoid direct contact with the soil. 3 (three) years from production, since the recommended storage conditions are respected.
