Braskem America B-100 LN

Braskem America B-100 LN is a low molecular weight, thermoplastic aromatic C9 hydrocarbon resin obtained through catalytic polymerization. It comes in a pearl-like shape with a yellow colored scale. Compatible with most solvents and polymeric materials, it has a controlled naphthalene content, reducing odor compared to regular C9 hydrocarbon resins. In rubbers, Unilene ® B-100 LN improves processability, dispersion, tack, and filler incorporation, while avoiding elastomer deterioration. In hot melt and solvent-based adhesives, it promotes tack, wetting, cohesion, open time control, and water repellency.

Recommended Storage & Handling Conditions

Hydrocarbon resins have thermoplastic characteristics, they can agglomerate when subjected to high temperatures and/or under pressure (stacking). It is recommended to store the product in a fresh place, free from direct sunlight, moisture and without stacking the pallets, also avoiding direct contact with the soil. This characteristic is considered more crucial for low softening point resins such as Unilene A‐80, A‐90, and A‐90 LN.
